A vacancy has arisen for a Councillor with the parish council following the resignation of Cllr. Angela Lowe last month.
A formal notice has been posted in the parish to invite candidates for election but no-one has responded to this and the parish council is now able to co-opt a new member.
If you are interested in getting involved as a parish councillor and helping to decide how local services are developed and what investments are made in facilities in the village then you could be co-opted onto the council by mutual agreement.
If you're a British citizen, are over 18 and have either lived or worked in Pilsley for the last 12 months then you are eligible to be co-opted. If you would like more information on this please contact either the Chairman of the Council, Peter Stevenson on 01773 872557, or the clerk (Phil Woodward) on 01246 469695; e-mail - firstname.lastname@example.org
