Autocrime Advice

Councillor Vacancy

A vacancy for a councillor has arisen following the resignation of Councillor Angela Lowe.

The formal notice giving details of how the vacancy can be filled is attached - any 10 electors from the current register of electors for Pilsley can request that an election be held to fill the vacancy.

If no such request is made within 14 days the council may co-opt a person to fill the vacancy.

A cleaner / caretaker is required from 1st April 2017 by the new Village Hall Management Committee to undertake cleaning and some caretaking duties at Pilsley Village Hall.

Initially 6-8 hours per week but further hours may be agreed by negotiation.

Footpath Closure

Today's high winds associated with Storm Doris have forced the closure of a footpath next to Pilsley Primary School as a result of the roof of a nearby sports hall being blown off.

Derbyshire County Council will endeavour to re-open the path as soon as possible when it is safe for pedestrians.
