No Change of Heart on Surgery Closure Proposal

The public outcry led by the Parish Council on Staffa Health's proposal to close Pilsley Surgery appears to have failed in its bid to get Staffa to have a change of heart.

The Practice has produced an eighty four page document on the consultation process and this can be seen on its website

The document indicates that having considered all the responses including letters from our County Councillor, Parish Councillors and a petition signed by patients, Staffa Health is still proposing to close the surgery but with twelve months notice to allow it to make some changes to its service provision.

During the twelve month notice period the Surgery will be open for one and a half days per week.

Staffa Health's proposals will be presented to the Primary Care Co-Commissioning Committee (PCCC) on 26th February 2020 and the Committee will then decide on the Surgery's fate.

The parish council has written again to members of the PCCC in a further attempt to prevent the closure - Copy attached.
