Council Meeting

Parish Council Meetings

Meetings of the parish council have not taken place since the lockdown of communities was announced by the Prime Minister on 23rd March.

Since that time the government has introduced new Regulations which allow local councils to meet on a 'remote' basis. Under normal circumstances all council meetings have to be held on a face-to-face basis with public participation issues given an item on the agenda. However, the new Regulations, which run for the next 12 months, give local councils the option to hold meetings via the internet.

The parish council has decided to adopt this approach for the time being and the next council meeting has been scheduled for Monday 18th May at 18.30hrs. This will be a 'remote' meeting held over the 'Zoom' software platform.

Members of the public will also be able to access the meetings via a web-link which the clerk will publicise a week before the actual meeting at the same time as the agenda paperwork is published.
