Crime Prevention Advice

Recently we have seen a small rise in attempted theft from motor vehicles in the village and one reported theft from a motor vehicle – police believe that there are others that have gone unreported. Visit of Police & Crime Commissioner

Derbyshire PCC Hardyal Dhindsa is seeking views on policing, community safety and victim services in your local area as part of his #D383 tour of Derbyshire communities.

House Burglary on New Street Pilsley

The Police have reported to us a break-in and burglary yesterday, during the daytime, at a house on New Street, Pilsley.

They have asked us to bring people's attention to this and for residents to be extra vigilant at this time of year.

They have also issued the attached advice to householders.

Van Break-ins......Again!

The Police have asked the Parish Council to alert residents to another round of van break-ins in the area. The latest ones occurred during the night of 9th October 2017 when two vans were broken into in Morton and a third on Lansbury Avenue, Pilsley. All had windows broken, so there must have been some noise.

At around 12:45 on Tuesday 6th June 2017, the Police received a report about the occupants of a white van on Prospect Road, Pilsley, who were trying to access rear gardens unsuccessfully.

The Police are asking residents of the village to be vigilant and report anything suspicious. Any information can be passed to the Safer Neighbourhood Team at Clay Cross Police Station by dialling 101.
