Doctor's Surgery - Proposed Closure

The attached statement sets out the parish council's current position on the proposals to close the Doctor's Surgery - we hope that as many local residents will adopt a similar approach in objecting to the proposals.

The Parish Council will continue to lobby against the proposals to close the Doctor's surgery in Pilsley.

Sports Pavilion Open Day

On Saturday 13th April 2019 members of the public will have the opportunity to have a look around Pilsley's new sports pavilion when it will be open for inspection between 10.30am to 12.30pm.

The Parish Council and Pilsley Sports Association, which has been established to run the pavilion, hope that as many members of the public as possible will take the chance to see it.

Good Progress at New Pavilion

Good Progress at New Pavilion

Good progress is being made on the construction of the new sports pavilion, with the majority of the external and internal walls now up at roof level.

We expect the roof to be fitted in the next two weeks and that the structure will soon be weather-proof to allow the start of the internal fit-out.

Pilsley's 2017 Christmas Trees have arrived and have been erected on the Village Green opposite St. Mary's Church and on Parkhouse Green, Lower Pilsley. They just need dressing!!

Derbyshire library service has two mobile libraries which serve around 150 communities across the county. The Parish Council is pleased to announce proposals to provide new items of play equipment on two of its three recreation grounds.

An order has been placed for play equipment to be provided on Parkhouse Green Recreation Ground. This will include a zip wire and a basket swing. The manufacture of the equipment will take about six weeks and we hope to have it installed immediately afterwards.
